Description

Part of a Man's Life, by Thomas Wentworth Higginson. Houghton Mifflin and Company, 1905. Hardcover, 311 pp. Green cloth with gilt letters on the cover and spine, and gilt top edges. An autobiography of Thomas Wentworth Higginson (1823-1911). Uses facsimiles of correspondence as key illustrations. These include a facsimile of the April 2, 1852 letter written to Higginson by Henry David Thoreau.  This copy has several library ownership marks on the front flyleaves, and heavy wear along the bottom edge of the green cloth cover. The spine carries a label and is age-faded to blue. The pages are clean.
