Thoreau conducted what we now call "walking meditations" everywhere in the Walden Woods and through his whole life. Charles Phillips has been exploring the Walden Pond and Walden Woods area extensively over the last 40 years, and he wants to share his personal interpretation of this special place. Charles will lead a walking meditation with commentary for up to four people in his favorite area of the Walden Woods. He will give you a perspective of this special place from an imaginative and aesthetic point of view. Ideally it will be a 2-3 hour morning walk followed by Charles hosting a lunch for you at a pleasant Concord restaurant. The walk would be best done in the Spring for the most beautiful effects.
