Jeff Tweedy’s songwriting has woven itself tightly into the lives of his fans around the world. In his newest book, World Within a Song: Music That Changed My Life and Life That Changed My Music, the longtime Chicago musician reflects on 50 songs that have inspired his own work with Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, and as a solo artist.

In November of 2023 Jeff was joined by Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me”, for an intimate conversation about the transportive power of music entitled "WBEZ Presents: World Within a Song - An Evening of Words and Music with Jeff Tweedy." The performance included acoustic performances by Tweedy, portraying his vast and revered catalog.
