Cranes Adrift 2024
Origami and driftwood

Ms. Guerra's sixth graders in Room 307 folded colored origami paper into cranes which symbolize peace and luck in Japanese culture. In honor of this, the students wrote a wish inside many of the cranes! The cranes are strung from a large, beautiful piece of driftwood that was a lucky find at our local Lake Michigan beach. The cranes have been treated with a clear finish and the driftwood has been stained and varnished. This piece would look incredible above a dining table or on a wall; hung from a tree outside (temporarily) during festivities; or displayed in the lobby of an office building for many to enjoy! (The driftwood is surprisingly lightweight.)

Available only by bidding at the live auction on the day of the event!

*This item will be on display at our Gala for an up close view. It's even more beautiful in person!
