Jessica Sharzer has developed feature films for Universal, HBO, MTV, 20th Century Fox, Fox 2000, Sony, Lionsgate, Netflix and Paramount. Her produced features include NERVE (2015) and A SIMPLE FAVOR (2018). She wrote an original sex comedy for Channing Tatum at Universal and an adaptation of Hitchcock’s TO CATCH A THIEF for Gal Gadot. She is currently adapting the 1983 cult classic THE HUNGER for producer Greg Berlanti at Warner Brothers. She is also working on the Gloria Estefan musical ON YOUR FEET at Sony. In television, Ms. Sharzer has developed drama pilots for CBS, FOX, MTV, APPLE and ABC networks. She is currently adapting political thriller THE EMBASSY for Eva Longoria at Starz and showrunning OVER MY DEAD BODY for HBO Max. She was a Co-Executive producer on NINE PERFECT STRANGERS at Hulu and spent four seasons as a writer-producer on AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX). She has also written for STAR on Fox and AMAZING STORIES on Apple.  As a director, Ms. Sharzer made her feature debut with SPEAK (2004) which premiered at Sundance and was nominated for a Writers Guild Award and a Directors Guild Award. Ms. Sharzer holds Masters Degrees from NYU and UC Berkeley.  She is an adjunct professor of graduate-level screenwriting at USC.
