About Cassia

Located in downtown Santa Monica, Cassia combines the energy of a French brasserie with the fresh, vibrant flavors of Southeast Asia, striking a unique balance of soulful, ancestral cuisine and a contemporary, market-driven sensibility. A member of the Rustic Canyon Family, the critically-acclaimed restaurant is a collaboration between two culinary couples - Bryant Ng and Kim Luu-Ng, alongside Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan.

At Cassia, the elements that define a great brasserie - chilled seafood bar, steak frites, and handcrafted beers - are comfortingly familiar, while also taking cues from award-winning chef Bryant and his wife Kim's culinary heritage and experiences.

Since opening in 2015, Cassia has earned critical acclaim from the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Bon Appétit, GQ and more, along with a James Beard semifinalist nomination for “Best New Restaurant” in 2016 and Michelin Plate recognition in 2021. Bryant is also a 2022 James Beard finalist for “Best Chef – California” after being a semifinalist in 2017.
