In a graceful dance of light and union, harmonious figures swing around a tea light candleholder. Kisii stone is a type of soapstone found only in a small area of western Kenya near the town of Kisii. The two figures in the round depicted in this carving symbolize balance and well-being in relationship: the circle of life is complete when grounded in light.
