Larissa's bio:

My name is Larissa Block and I am a photographer in Los Angeles. To give you a little background, I grew up in Los Angeles (Pasadena area) then moved to Santa Barbara to attend college at UCSB. My junior year of college I studied abroad, a semester in Italy and a semester in France (unbelievable experience!) While living in Italy, I took my first photography class and was completely hooked on taking pictures. After graduating from UCSB, I immediately attended Brooks Institute of Photography from 2000-2003 and received a second Bachelor's Degree. After graduation, I moved to New York to be a photo assistant and learn the business side of photography. In 2005, I returned to Los Angeles where I started my photography career focusing on celebrity and musician portrait photography for magazine editorials. While struggling to make ends meet as I began my photographic journey in the working world, I started shooting families and babies on the side and quickly realized that I had found my true passion. Fast forward 19 years (man, time flies!) and I am happily married to an incredible man who loves that I have followed my creative passion. I am a mom of two happy and sweet children, ages 11 & 13, who bring such joy to my life. There are so many aspects I adore about being a photographer.
