Plant Based Cooking Class

Item Number: 209
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Plant-based or plant-forward eating patterns focus on foods primarily from plants, including not only fruits and vegetables, but also nuts, seeds, oils, whole grains, legumes, and beans. It doesn't mean that you are vegetarian or vegan and never eat meat or dairy. Rather, you are proportionately choosing more of your foods from plant sources.
In this class/demonstration Meredith Milby will make plant based cooking more approachable. Visit her home in Lawrenceville and she'll teach you how to use some fun plant based ingredients in approachable recipes. You'll make two meals: (1) her son's favorite, peanut Ramen and (2) a farro bowl with tempeh. She'll also show you how to pickle onions, sprout broccoli seeds and mix sauces to make food zing. Includes dinner and food to take home.4pm Sunday November 3rd or other agreed date.
Note: Recipes include peanut, wheat and soy. Meredith has cats. This item is limited to members and friends of UUCA.
