Description

Joy Kniskern-Murphy and Arthur Murphy, wannabe Sommeliers, have made wines and ports (with expert guidance) for several years. The offer is for one bottle of Amarone and one bottle of Raspberry Chocolate Port.

Joy and Arthur took a class at Wine Workshop and Brewery (http://www.wineworkshop.net) that allowed them to make three types of wine in a group class setting. They took home one bottle of each type and found them delicious!

They were sold, signed up for a wine tasting and ordered a few red wines to make with fresh juice. Making wine this way is a 3-step process; the shop's owner provides all the necessary equipment and stores the wine during the fermentation period. At the last visit, they corked their bottles and made distinctive wine labels using the shop's printer. Hence, Chateau Neuf de Meurf (a play on Arthur's nick name, Murph).

The port is a treat over ice cream, vanilla yogurt, or plain cheesecake dotted with tart cherries. Amarone wine is a slightly sweet, nutty wine from the Veneto region of Italy and pairs well with strong cheeses, beef, game, and hearty stews (can include hearty vegetarian stews).
