Description
Discover the rich tapestry of Finland’s history, culture, and language with two exclusive online sessions led by Rich Hammett, a passionate educator in Finnish studies. This fall, you and up to four guests have the rare chance to delve into the fascinating world of Finland, learning about its storied past, vibrant culture, and unique language from the comfort of your home.
Rich Hammett brings Finland to life in these interactive and immersive sessions, designed to give you a deep understanding of what makes this Nordic country so captivating. Over two consecutive Saturday afternoons, you’ll embark on a virtual journey through Finland’s history, from its ancient roots to its modern-day achievements. You’ll also explore the cultural traditions that define Finnish life and get a taste of the melodic and distinct Finnish language.
But the experience doesn’t end online! For those looking to indulge in a bit of Finnish flavor, there’s an optional trip to the IKEA cafeteria. While IKEA is Swedish, many of the foods enjoyed by the Swedes are also beloved in Finland, making this a fun and delicious way to connect with the culture you’ve studied.
Perfect for history buffs, language lovers, or anyone with a curiosity about Nordic cultures, this unique educational experience promises to be both enlightening and enjoyable.
