Pamela Smith is a self taught painter and papier-mâché sculptor based in Bristol, Vermont. Her work is primarily portraiture of women and their relations; children, men and animals accompany the protagonists painted amidst vibrant colorful backgrounds. Five of her Madonnas, life size papier-mâché sculptures, are part of the permanent collection at the American Visionary Art Museum.
