For the One Gone Astray

One of my favorite things about worship painting is that God can
speak differently to each by His Spirit through the art. His Spirit, the
Interpreter, can minister in powerful ways no matter what the artist
sees in the creation. I pray over every painting that His Spirit leads me,
to create with me, and speak to those He intends to impact with it for
His glory and their benefit. There is a description below to accompany
the painting, but God may speak something different to you and/or
others — and I celebrate that!

If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one of
them has gone astray, does He not leave the
ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of
the one that went astray? And if He finds it, truly
I tell you, He rejoices over it more than over the
ninety-nine that never went astray.

Jesus is The Good Shepherd that laid down His life so that we could
be children of God reunited with Our Father in heaven. My hope
is that you and others will experience His unmatched love through
this painting. That the Father would give to you a spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the knowledge of Him. Thank you again for your
