Can we see the forest for the trees? Done shortly after the tragedy on Halloween night (2022) in Itaewon, South Korea, the work questions how much visual data can be abstracted or collected from a flood of visual information.

Special Instructions
Elle Chae is a Korean-born Ottawa-based artist who lived in South Korea and Fiji before moving to Ottawa. She obtained her BFA in 2011 and MFA in 2016 from the University of Ottawa. Chae's work has been exhibited in Ottawa, Montréal, and California.
Elle Chae, artiste d’Ottawa originaire de Corée, a vécu en Corée du Sud et aux Fidji avant d’arriver à Ottawa. Elle a obtenu son baccalauréat et sa maîtrise en beaux-arts de l’Université d’Ottawa en 2011 et 2016, respectivement. Ses œuvres ont été exposées à Ottawa, à Montréal et en Californie.
