I Am Your Teacher is inspired by a week I spent in the Ontario region of Georgian Bay. I was struck by how resilient nature is - saplings pushing their way upwards, seemingly out of rock, under the protection of the older, more mature trees.
I Am Your Teacher s’inspire d’une semaine passée dans la région ontarienne de la baie Georgienne. La résilience de la nature m’a impressionnée; les pousses d’arbres qui percent leur chemin à même la roche, ou presque, sous le couvert d’arbres anciens bien établis.
Special Instructions
Niki is a professional Canadian artist, and currently paints in her studio at Studio Space Ottawa. In 2023, Niki became an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists and the Ontario Society of Artists. She uses the properties of the paint and medium to create paintings with a strong sense of movement.
Niki est une artiste professionnelle canadienne qui peint actuellement dans son atelier au Studio Space Ottawa. En 2023, Niki est devenue membre élue de la Société des artistes canadiens et de la Ontario Society of Artists.
