Yarnspun Odyssey: A Tapestry of Twists, Turns, and Textile Tales

By learning how to knit, the upper elementary children carry on a tradition that's been around for much of human history. This year in the Malachite room, every student made a knitting square, in whatever knitting style they chose, that is as unique and special as each child. They were then stitched together to create one unified piece of art. This project is an embodiment of the Malachite Room, a community that works together, while continuing to highlight the individual ability for beautiful and complex expression.
