Executed in muted feathered brushstrokes in pinks, beiges, and browns, the painting captures a late summer/early fall pastoral land and stream scene. Lightly gilted wooden carved frame in vintage condition. Probably dates between 1910-1930. 

About the artist: 

Alfred Addy (1866-1930) lived in both England and Massachusetts, whose subject matter was mostly Marine and landscape painting.
