Description

Dobbeltbeger, double cup with captive ring with milk paint finish created by Vesterheim Gold Medalist David Susag and inspired by goblets found at museums in Norway. A wedding cup designed for the bride to drink from one end, the groom to drink from the other. The birch goblet was turned on a spring pole lathe, which is a reciprocating lathe that is powered by the turner and not by electricity. David has been working with spring pole lathes since 2014.
