Around 50 aerial photos were taken by Georg Gerster and printed as posters for Swiss Air, first dating from 1971. The vintage Rudolph Bircher logo of a silhouetted plane was ultimately chosen to represent the company. This series ran through 1979, and a reevisioned series was produced in 1996 to have an updated graphic treatment and displayed a new logo.
