Authentic Puffin Decoy, Eastern Egg Rock, Maine

This decoy was used at Eastern Egg Rock, Maine during the early years of Project Puffin (about 1980) to lure puffins back to this historic nesting site.

One of the early decoys used on Eastern Egg Rock to lure puffins ashore, in an attempt to re-establish and enlarge puffin colonies. 

It measures approximately 10" (broken) beak to tail, 3" top of head to tip of beak, and 4.5" back to chest.
