John A. Scott hales from Lake Leelanau, MI. He paints primarily with watercolors. His subjects are usually scenes that have captured his imagination from his travels that include both natural and man made elements and run the gamut of a street scene in Montmartre to the bus stop in Poipu. From the shear cliffs of the Kalalau valley to the basilica of Kotor, Montenegro. His favorite subjects are here on the Garden Isle where he and his wife Mary have come each year in February and March. He is a Kolea member of the Poipu Beach Rotary Club and volunteers at Lawai Caring Day during his time in Kauai. Besides painting, John practices law and operates a small vineyard of wine grapes. He shows his paintings locally in Michigan.
