Description

This item is a gorgeous, very large bowl of cedar wood by local craftsman Dave Reando. The cedar was obtained from a large tree in Dave's yard in the makua highlands of Kalaheo and the bowl was crafted by hand and not machined. This piece is 4.5" thick and measures approximately 24" x 20" across and the tangerine gives a sense of the size of the bowl.

This fine cedar bowl can be used decoratively or as a functional bowl. Note the beauty of the wood and the sensuous texture of the finish. The glass lampwork bead was created in Dave’s Kalaheo studio. Crafting lampwork beads has been a passion of Dave's for almost 20 years, especially during the cold winter months Dave used to spend in southern Illinois in the past.

Dave is a craftsman, an artist and a dedicated volunteer who has been helping the Lawai International Center for 10 years setting up for events and managing the Pilgrimages. Every week for the past 5 years, he has been graciously nurturing and caring for the land of the Center. Dave is an invaluable member of the LIC ohana.
