Christina Beecher is an active member and volunteer at the AAM and holds a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. She is active in the local art scene and is proud to be represented by The Next Door Gallery in Mansfield, MA and True Grit Gallery in Middleboro, MA. Beecher is also an active artist and board member at Galatea Fine Art in Boston, MA. Beecher loves painting the New England landscape, focusing on the light and the time of day.

"Icy Meadow" is an expression of a time and place with the added element of temperature. The quietness of the sky juxtaposed by diagonals in the mid and foreground activates the composition of this work. The faraway tree line provides a backdrop anchoring this scene as the viewer's eye travels the ice hardened earth just as the thaw has begun.
