Description

Reverse painting on glass

28" x 30.5" x 1.5"

A self-taught artist, Kevin Grady focuses on transforming discarded, everyday objects into unique art. His work has been included in numerous shows and collaborations, as well as being selected for Attleboro's "Think Outside the Box" utility box project. His belief is that art can breathe new life into the commonplace, a philosophy that guides his approach to repurposing materials. His recent pieces, featuring antique windows as canvases, exemplify his commitment to recycling and repurposing.

"Fortune" is a reverse painting on glass, using acrylics, spray paint and markers on an antique window. Grady often gains inspiration from music, and this piece is based on the Dragonette song "Black Limousine." He hopes that the bright colors and playful approach have infused it with emotion and a fun narrative.
