Karole Nicholson attended RISD, studying graphic and advertising design. Currently, she works in mixed media and collage, employing a contemporary approach to express her spirit on canvas. Her work is characterized by texture and an abstract view of the environment, which are the key components that draw her into developing each painting. Gallery representation includes the AAM, the Next Door Gallery, Gallery Twist and the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative.
As a painter, intimate landscape scenes naturally pique Nicholson's interest. "On the Bend" captures the simplicity and charm of a country road, inviting the viewer to come along for the ride. The use of custom collage papers introduces intriguing lines and textures, adding depth and character to the scene. This piece beautifully combines the tranquility of rural life with the dynamic qualities of mixed media, creating an engaging and evocative visual experience.

Online bidding for this item CLOSES WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30th, AT 5PM EST. Final bidding will take place in-person during the LIVE AUCTION event on Saturday, November 2nd. If you're unable to attend the live auction, you can leave a "high bid" amount online (no later than October 30th, 5pm EST) and the auctioneer will represent your bid during the live event.

A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.
The Bidding Increments are as follows:
$1-99, the bidding increment is $5
$100-199, the bidding increment is $10
$200-499, the bidding increment is $20
$500-999, the bidding increment is $50
$1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100
Items can be picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 7th – 9th, 2024. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. In-person pickup is preferred. If an item is to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and handling costs. After arrangements have been made, items will be shipped no later than November 15th. Winners of specialty items that do not require pickup will be contacted with details by November 8th. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
