Description

Mixed media

24" x 24" x 1.5"

Karole Nicholson attended RISD, studying graphic and advertising design. Currently, she works in mixed media and collage, employing a contemporary approach to express her spirit on canvas. Her work is characterized by texture and an abstract view of the environment, which are the key components that draw her into developing each painting. Gallery representation includes the AAM, the Next Door Gallery, Gallery Twist and the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative.

"Wayfinding" is an evocative abstract landscape painting that captures the expansive interplay between land and sky. This piece features a dynamic composition crafted with handmade collage papers and vintage pattern tissue, creating a rich tapestry of textures and patterns. Layers of transparent acrylic paints further enhance the depth and vibrancy of the scene. This artwork is presented on a gallery-wrapped canvas, making it a striking addition to any modern art collection.
