Photography

12" x 15" x 1"

Photography has always been a part of Martha Manno's life. Her father was a professional photographer. Cameras, tripods and lights were a constant. Manno's first camera was her father's Kodak Retina, a small folding camera without a built-in light meter. By high school she was printing black and white photos in the basement of her house. Now she takes pictures on her walks in Seekonk with an iPhone that is always in her pocket. The walk is never the same, the day's weather and season means the light is always changing.

"Winter Fog" is a black and white photograph taken as part of a series in Seekonk, MA.
