Betsey MacDonald works in many art mediums. She taught high school art for many years and now teaches at local art associations. She has sold more than 500 paintings and has won numerous awards in juried shows, most recently the Jean Bowman Award from the American Academy of Equine Art in KY in 2023. Betsey is in awe of and inspired by the natural world.
Betsey looks forward to the arrival of the barn swallows every year. They nest in her horse barn which other than her studio is her favorite place to be. Betsey loves animals which is why she paints them. In painting she hopes to gain a greater appreciation and understanding of the life around her.

A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.
The Bidding Increments are as follows:
$1-99, the bidding increment is $5
$100-199, the bidding increment is $10
$200-499, the bidding increment is $20
$500-999, the bidding increment is $50
$1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100
Items can be picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 7th – 9th, 2024. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. In-person pickup is preferred. If an item is to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and handling costs. After arrangements have been made, items will be shipped no later than November 15th. Winners of specialty items that do not require pickup will be contacted with details by November 8th. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
