This opening night drawing of Sweet Smell of Success is illustrated and signed by two-time Tony Award-winning actor John Lithgow. Based on the 1957 film of the same name, Sweet Smell of Success is a musical about an influential newspaper columnist who uses his power to ruin his sister's relationship with a man he disapproves of.

Not only is he a celebrated stage, film and TV actor, Lithgow is an accomplished artist and illustrator.

Sweet Smell of Success, which also featured Brian d'Arcy James and Kelli O'Hara, opened at the Martin Beck (now Al Hirschfeld) Theatre on March 14, 2002.
