This one-of-a-kind bear, created for the Broadway Bears event and honoring Thoroughly Modern Millie, is signed by Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, who played Millie in the musical. Foster, who has 14 Broadway credits to her name, is currently lighting up the stage as Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress.

Broadway Bears was Broadway Cares' annual auction of one-of-a-kind, museum-quality, theatrically costumed teddy bears, each dressed in a handmade, authentic recreation of the original costume design and signed by the star who made the character famous.

Thoroughly Modern Millie follows a small town girl who moves to big city New York in the 1920s to live out her flapper dreams. She marries a man for his money, makes friends, encounters a surprising romance and finds herself caught in the unexpected. 

The production began previews at the Marquis Theatre on March 19, 2002, and won six Tony Awards, including Foster’s first for Best Actress in a Musical.
