This robe was worn by Jessica Lange onstage in Mother Play. Lange, who starred as Phyllis in her Tony Award-nominated performance, won a Tony for Long Day's Journey Into Night.

Set in 1962 on the outskirts of Washington, D.C., Mother Play follows along as the matriarch, played Lange, raises her teenage children, played by Jim Parsons and Celia Keenan-Bolger, as they find their own path. The passionate play touches on deep family trauma, alcoholism and the timeless story of love, truth and forgiveness.

Mother Play began previews at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre on April 3 and closed its limited run on June 16.
