Description

Identified online as a Kiowa Indian Bear Clan reproduction shield, depicting a bear at the mouth of a cave defending her cubs. Deerhide stretched on a frame with feathers and a red tradecloth drop. Medicine bag and beads in the center. Not signed but has a makers mark stamped on the back.


Fair-to-good condition. No repairs. Appears to be missing one feather.


21" diameter with 37" drop.

The winning bidder may pick up this item between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday at the Breast and GYN Health Project, 987 8th Street, Arcata, CA (Next to the Arcata Co-op).
