Artist's Note:

As a struggling artist I could find ways to make my home more beautiful on a very tight budget and sometimes for free. Snowberries are a shrub that grown along some roadsides in rural areas of B.C. The winter is when they bear their fruit which are little clusters of white berries that look fantastic against the bare dark branches. Loved them in a vase. This painting is about the first berry that drops. I wouldn’t get rid of the arrangement till all the berries had fallen sometimes making a beautiful pattern of their own on the table around the base of the vase.
