" Iron Jawed Angels”, includes a graphic depiction these women being arrested, imprisoned and force fed as part of the courageous battle they waged to win the right to vote.
The film also depicts Woodrow Wilson and his cronies trying to persuade a psychiatrist to declare Alice Paul insane so that she could be permanently institutionalized. It is inspiring to watch the doctor admonish the men. “Alice Paul was strong and brave, but that didn't make her crazy. Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity."
