Ramon J. Goni is a director, cinematographer, and surf photographer based in Venice, California. His diverse body of work encompasses fashion, entertainment, surfing, sci-fi, and LGBTQ+ narratives. In 2010, Ramon founded SWOON NEW YORK // VENICE, an artist collective that fosters creativity, fiction, and art. His latest endeavor, "The Way of Water," a collaborative film with Joe Duerr, serves as a cinematic ode to the Pacific Ocean. This visual love letter stretches from the Southern California coast to Tahiti, highlighting Ramon's deep connection to the ocean and his ongoing engagement with the Venice community. Ramon and Joe traveled to Fiji with a crew of Venice locals to surf and shoot one of the swells of the year in the South Pacific last September. The ocean delivered. Through his work, Ramon continues to explore innovative ways to merge artistic expression with community activism.
