George A. Horvath is a Canadian Postwar & Contemporary painter who was born in 1933.
Horvath quickly established himself in Canada after immigrating to Calgary, Alberta in 1956. One of eight children, he had artistic ambitions early in his youth. Several years of training in Fine Art in Hungary led to continued studies after his arrival to the West, graduating from Art Institute School in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1964. He has been painting professionally since 1966.
