Artist: Margot Datz


Margot Datz is a beloved island artist, well known for her murals and public artworks, book illustration, and her fine art paintings. Her public works can be enjoyed at such sites as The Old Whaling Church, the Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, and Chilmark children's libraries, both ferry terminals, the Flying Horses, the MV YMCA, and the MV Hospital. Her annual August show features her natural fantasy paintings. She also illustrated 4 children's books for Carly Simon, and wrote and illustrated her own book, "A Survival Guide for Landlocked Mermaids" with Atrium, which makes her a bit of a mermaid expert.
