Description

This quilt, handmade by Marlee, features the classic doll, Raggedy Ann, and her brother, Raggedy Andy. The quilt measures 62 inches by 47 inches -- perfect for a child's bed or playspace.

Raggedy Ann is probably the most loved doll that has ever been manufactured. Her iconic red wool hair, smiling face and button eyes are familiar to people all over the world. Johnny Gruelle, an American cartoonist, found an old rag doll in the attic and modeled Raggedy Ann and her brother Raggedy Andy after her over a century ago for his own children, then wrote a series of children's stories about their adventures. Through many generations, Raggedy Ann and Andy and their stories have been shared between parents and children, and grandparents and grandchildren. Simple and timeless, Raggedy Ann is a doll steeped in tradition and produced over a longer span of years than any other doll, right up to the present day.

Included with the quilt is a book, "Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Read-Aloud Treasury", filled with stories about the adventures of Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy. This book combines those stories of adventure, friendship, and devotion into one volume that begs to be read aloud!
