Description

These vintage (1959) Goebel ceramic figurines depict Joseph, Mary, and Jesus traveling out of Bethlehem and into Egypt to avoid Herod's wrath. Mary, holding Jesus, is riding on a donkey, while Joseph accompanies them on foot, holding their meager possessions and a light to show the way through the night. They would stay in Egypt until Herod's death, and then return to Israel to live in the city of Nazareth in the district of Galilee. See Matthew 2:7-23 for the complete story.

Special Instructions

These figurenes are authentic Goebel creations, as shown by the Goebel name on the bottom of each piece.
