Gloria brought this rose-covered scarf home with her from Portugal. It was made at the Casa dos Viscondes da Varzea by Contessa Maria Manuel Cyrne, whom Gloria met when she had lunch at the Casa.

The scarf is absolutely gorgeous! It has groups of roses in a symmetrical pattern all around the scarf, and tiny rosebuds in the center, all on a cream-colored background. The rich red color of the flowers is balanced by green leafy accents around the scarf, with fruits like berries and cherries in the center of the border. The overall feeling as you look at this scarf is one of warmth and beauty.
