Since shifting away from the traditional zoo model to focus on education, conservation and rehabilitation, The Zoo in Forest Park has worked hard to establish relationships with wildlife rehabilitators across the country.
The Zoo is home to more than 225 native and exotic animals from bobcats to lemurs to monkeys and alligators. The Zoo's residents are always changing and growing as they continue to provide a home for animals in need.
Whatever has happened that has caused these animals to be deemed non-releasable -- from physical disabilities to over-habituation -- The Zoo aims to provide a safe and happy home for those unable to return to their natural habitats.

Special Instructions
Each one-day pass is valid for one adult, child or senior guest. They cannot be used for special events or combined with any other discount or offer.
The pass does not include the cost of parking. The City of Springfield charges $3 for in-state plates and $5 for out-of-state plates, cash only, to enter Forest Park. This fee is subject to change and is not managed or collected by The Zoo.
