Our "We The Future" Contest Winners are an outstanding group of young people who will soon be embarking on an all expense paid trip to Washington, DC! On this trip, they will have the unique opportunity to see the U.S. Constitution come to life through VIP tours of the U.S. Capitol, National Archives, participating in Constitution Day activities, and much more!  

As Best College Essay Winner, in addition to the mentor trip, Emily wins a $5,000 scholarship! She will be writing her trip sponsors to let them know what she is learning throughout the trip.

A note from our winner - 

Hey there! My name is Emily Wheeler. I’m a 19 year old student at Liberty University, and I’m studying Christian Leadership and Church Ministries with a focus on Women’s Leadership. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home, and was taught strong values, a passion for my faith, and a love for my country.
During middle school, I lived overseas in Thailand. This amazing experience allowed me to see the beauty of other cultures, while realizing how blessed we are in our country. Because of my beliefs, I believe it is very important to be thankful for the country we have, and that Americans have an active role in helping our country to maintain its freedom. I’ve become passionate about encouraging the hearts of America to remember their faith, freedom, and values.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading and creating artwork including pottery, oil paintings, and charcoal drawings. At home, I love to spend time with my family, friends, and pets. After college, I hope to use my degree to serve God wherever He leads, whether perhaps as a teacher overseas, a conference speaker in the States, or as a writer. Whatever the future holds, I hope to become a world-changer and inspire others to do the same.
