Elizabeth II was crowned on June 2, 1953 and this plate was crafted at that time. From the pictures, you can see a young Elizabeth surrounded by the flags of the British holdings at that time. The gold-rimmed cream colored plate with its elaborate border measures 9"x9". There is crazing of its glossy finish but hung on a library wall or displayed on a bookcase, it shows beautifully.
