This playful and exuberant blend is named in honor of the Venge’s dog Scout. Full bodied energetic and loyal to the core, this Zinfandel blend always welcomes you home with an exuberant greeting of ripe currant, violet, and muscular tannin. This wine is a warm, loving lick of flavor that’ll be happiest right at your side, making sure nothing falls off the grill. 

The vintage lends itself to soft tannins and ripe fruit right out of the gates.  This is a blend of 76% Zinfandel, 14% Charbono, 8% Petite Sirah and 2% Syrah from Napa Vineyards, followed up with 35% new French oak.  Blackberries and jammy fruit, with violets, blueberries, spice and toast.  Dark and inky, yet it remains less dense than expected with polished tannins and a generous mouthfeel.
