Description

East Meets West Mountain Cabernets -- Marston Family Vineyard + CADE Estate -- 2 bottles

Iconic wines from two extreme regions of the Napa Valley -- Spring Mountain in the Western Mayacamas range and Howell Mountain in the Eastern Vaca range. These exemplary wines showcase the vast range of wine expression within the Napa Valley resulting from the diverse terroir of the valley.

Marston Family Vineyard 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, Spring Mountain District, Napa Valley

The 2014 vintage marks our forty-first growing season in the Napa Valley. We strive to produce a classic, distinctive wine that expresses the complexity of our terraced hillside vineyards along the southern edge of the Spring Mountain District. Each year we select and hand cultivate our favorite blocks of the 40-acre estate vineyard to produce a limited amount of Marston Family Vineyard Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

A beautiful bouquet of black raspberry, pomegranate, rose hips, violets, acai black tea and hints of cloves. The wild blackberry front leads to a full mouth of cassis, black raspberry, blueberry and hints of fresh tea leaf. The layers of complexity in the mid-palate are enhanced by young, elegant tannins delivering a weightless, yet concentrated finish of exceptional length.

Our wines speak with a transparency of the place they are born. We believe in highlighting the terroir with minimal intervention, allowing for a genuine expression of time and place to serve as the hallmark of every vintage. Built with a focus on elegance, balance and history, each bottle serves as both a nod to the past and an embodiment of the present.

ORGANICALLY FARMED AND ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE.
At CADE Estate, we believe that winemaking should honor the land, both aesthetically and ecologically. Our philosophy of making luxury wine in harmony with the environment begins in the soil of our estate vineyard where we maintain a painstaking program of natural cultivation - a rewarding program that made us the first organically farmed LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified estate winery in the Napa Valley.
