Description

THREE Bottle Flight of B Cellars

B Cellars 2021 Chardonnay, Calesa Vineyard, Petaluma Gap

The Calsea Vineyard, located in the rolling hills between Sonoma and Petaluma, is planted with one of the rare “Musque” clones. Calesa’s vines thrive in the coastal wind and cooler temperatures in shallow, rocky soils on steep hillsides. Dramatic temperature shifts allow enough mid-day warmth to ripen the fruit before chilly afternoon wind and fog flow through the “wind gap” that is the hallmark of this AVA.

Planted in rocky soil on a steep hillside, these vines struggle to find water making a concentrated yet elegant wine. A delightful pale straw color radiates from the glass, emerging with aromas of orange blossom, rose petal, and ripe peach. The lively palate is layered with flavors of apple compote, stone fruit, and key lime tart with graham cracker crust. A Chardonnay of great balance, with a sofily textured nothiel, vivacious acidity, and lengthy finish.

B Cellars 2021 Pinot Noir, Manzana Vineyard, Russian River Valley, Sonoma

The Manzana Vineyard is part of the famed Dutton Ranch, located in Green Valley, an area with a long history of agriculture. The name “Manzana” pays tribute to the long and successful history of apple farming throughout this part of Sonoma County. This is one of the coolest climate pockets of the Russian River Valley. These vines are anchored in Goldridge Soil, a fine sandy loam, arguably the best soil for Pinot Noir.

B Cellars 2022 Blend 25, Napa Valley

The Blend 25 is influenced by a popular Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah (known in Australia as Shiraz). This blend represents the best of both the valley floor and hillsides. It is as much a blend of terroirs as it is a blend of varietals. The end result is a powerful yet polished wine that will age gracefully in the cellar.

This wine features the classic structure and power of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with the earthy opulence of our Hudson Vineyard Syrah, a marriage resulting in bold aromatics of leather, lilac, and bright red fruit. The palate is alive and sophisticated with summer-ripened berries, baked cherries, and plums full of herbaceous notes with a luscious mouthfeel coated with a lingering layer of sturdy tannins.
