Description
2022 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, 2-pack
Pine Ridge Winery 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, Circle Hill Vineyard, Stags Leap District, Napa Valley
The grapes were hand-harvested at night from September 9th through September 13th when temperatures often dip to 50ËÂÂF to capture vibrant acidity and fruit expression in the wine. We first cold-soaked the must (crushed grapes) for gentle extraction and then ferment in stainless steel, concrete and oak barrel fermenters at 88ËÂÂF. Rigorous pump-overs, increasing during the peak of the fermentation, developed deep color, rich varietal character and fine tannins in the wine. The wine was aged in 75% new French oak barrels to meld the bright fruit expression with oak spice nuances. After three months of aging, we blended the vineyard components allowing them to marry for a total of 20 months of barrel èlevage. This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered to present the attributes of the vineyard in the purest form possible, from the dirt to the glass!

Smaller batches mean greater quality control. When you purchase a bottle of Karl Lawrence, you're not paying for a heavy bottle, an extravagant facility, or a marketing staff. You're paying for a bottle of great wine.
We've operated as a word-of-mouth winery for twenty-five years because of our loyal customers. And we are loyal in return. We can keep the price down as long as they continue to spread the good word.
Cab is King! Making premium wine starts with this Valley and great grapes. Karl Lawrence Cellars has sourced grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the Napa Valley since 1991. These vineyards include Gary Morisoli, Herb Lamb, Henry Brothers' Ranch, Healy, Stagecoach, Beckstoffer's To Kalon and Dr. Crane.
Since 2013, we have been sourcing grapes from the Pocai Vineyard in the Calistoga Appellation, and the Fig Tree Vineyard at the base of Howell Mountain, in the St. Helena Appellation.
