Based on the best-selling Goodtime Openback banjo, the Goodtime Openback 19-Fret Tenor is tuned in 5ths like a viola or cello (C,G,D,A), and features a full 19-fret scale so commonly found in traditional jazz and Irish music. 
 
It is a delight to play with its short-scale fretboard, slim neck and lightweight body. If desired, it can also be tuned for Irish G,D,A,E (requires Irish Tenor string set). In both tunings, notes are clear and bold, with just the right amount of punch and sustain needed for tenor playing.
