Their more than half-century struggle led to the passage of the 19th Amendment to the constitution in 1920, which finally granted American women the right to vote. Ken Burns is a prominent documentary filmmaker who lives and works in Walpole, New Hampshire. He is the co-founder of Florentine Films, a production company also based in Walpole. Burns has created numerous award-winning documentaries on diverse topics like the Civil War, jazz, and the Vietnam War.
