Our Name

Dragonfly Unique Curations is truly a labor of love. It stems from a desire to honor my father and mentor.

We landed on the name Dragonfly because right after my dad passed away on August 2, 2023, we were visited by a swarm of dragonflies which circled our backyard and stayed for an extended time while we all stood marveling at the sight, knowing it was a visit from my dad with other departed ones.

The next day at work in our family business in Revere, Massachusetts, I once again encountered a dragonfly on the windshield of my car. I had never seen a dragonfly at the business, a most unlikely place, having no natural environment and it being an industrial area. This dragonfly stayed around for a long time, just circling the car and then flying toward my husband who was conferring on the loading dock with my father’s right-hand man of 40 years.

It was a profound, moving experience. I have since learned that many others have had similar experiences with dragonflies relating to the passing of loved ones.
